
Youth Ministry

Mission Statement for Youth Ministry: Youth are people from the early adolescent years through the young adult years. Youth ministries are youth and adults working together that youth might grow and participate in their baptismal relationships with their Lord, themselves, and the world through the means of grace and the congregation's ministries of proclamation, worship, witness, and service.
Kid's Club Grades 3-5:
A once-a-month opportunity to grow in Christian Community through interactive Bible Studies, games, crafts, music and family-style meals. This program meets the 1st Thursday of every month from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Guests are welcome. Cost is $5.
Middle School Youth Grades 6-8:
Grow in faith and friendships with weekly youth group meetings starting the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This program includes study of the Scriptures, worship, witness, service and community-building activities. Confirmation instruction is included. Twice a year retreats, monthly social and service events and summer Bible camp trips are offered.
High School Youth Grades 9-12:
Enhance your spiritual life with weekly topical Bible studies and group activities. The group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the youth room. Monthly social and service events are planned by the teens. Exciting retreat opportunities, weeklong adventure trips, fundraising, ELCA Youth Gatherings and overnight outings are all part of growing in Christian Community! Guests are welcome and costs vary depending on the event.
Young Adults Post High School-25 Years:
Staying connected to Christian Community through monthly Bible studies and social events. Yearly retreating opportunities are available. Meetings are generally held Sunday nights.
Family Events:
For anyone you call family! A variety of opportunities to grow in Christian Community are planned. Social and service events are offered 4-5 times a year. Annual events include Community Christmas, Halloween and Easter celebrations, Congregational picnics, bowling, and family retreats.
